What We Do
Providing a home away from home.
We help young people achieve better outcomes through education, training and life skills that will enable them to live independently. At Adriel Supported Living Care, we understand that each individual is different. Every young person has their own set of strengths and challenges, and therefore requires a personalised approach.
With this understanding, we aim to break barriers to the growth and success of our young people. We support individuals of diverse backgrounds with tailored programmes designed to help each young person in rebuilding their life while developing confidence and skills to live independently.
What We Do
We support looked after children, care leavers and young people with a wide-range of needs including those with a background in:
- Homelessness
- Abuse
- Alcohol or Substance Misuse
- Offending Behaviour
- Gang Affiliation
- Violence or Exploitation
Accommodation
We offer accommodation tailored and designed around the needs of young people between the ages of 16 and 25 years. Our homes are well looked after, with modern furniture and highly secure, installed with CCTV for added security. Service users also have access to an evergreen, peaceful garden space. The environment at Adriel Supported Living Care is designed to provide a structured, inclusive and supportive atmosphere in which young people can look back at their past, come to terms with their present situation, and make fruitful plans for their future.
Our Support
Adriel Supported Living Care offers structured support programmes geared toward a safe transition into adulthood and the development of independent living skills. In addition to this, we support young people in their recovery from an unfortunate past, helping them to move on and look forward to a brighter future.
Our support focuses on aspects that include:
- Basic Life Skills
- Developing good morals, respect for self and others
- Developing confidence and self identity
- Access to paid and voluntary work in the local area
- Mental and physical health
- Using public transport and local leisure activities
- Community integration
- Budgeting and finance
- Structured group activities like cooking classes
- Peers and Relationships
- Sport and Hobbies
- Obtaining independent accommodation and accessing a tenancy
Development
Our person-centred approach seeks to cater for each young person’s dreams and ambitions. We help our service users pursue their education and professional careers by offering them needed input, support and encouragement. Adriel Supported Living Care also plays a role in assisting the young people we serve to access welfare benefits, employment and education locally.
